In Her Light is a portrait documentary series that highlights the unique experiences and challenges of women artists working within the visual arts industry. Centered on themes of diversity and representation, the project features emerging to mid-career artists based in New York City. It is a reflection of my own journey as a woman artist and a platform to uplift and empower others within the creative community.
The primary outcome of this project is a tangible asset: a photobook in which each spread pairs a portrait of an artist with her written response. These interviews share personal narratives, artistic paths, and the ways in which identity informs their creative practices. The photobook serves as both a platform for recognition and a resource for connection, collaboration, and support within the arts community.
